The following are some useful search pages that assist in locating other network resources. I've placed them here mainly because I could never find them in my bookmarks list.

> Google. The worlds biggest.
> HotBot. Search the #1 rated search engine.
> The WebCrawler. Search for other Web pages.

> Google Groups. A tool for searching Usenet news archives.
> FTP search. Archie Server Gateway running under FreeBSD

Here are some other neat search engines that look up non-web stuff.
> Dict.org. Online dictionary lookup from the DICT Development Group.
> Translations by Bablefish. Not essential but fun.
> Flight Tracking. You can find out about current flights between major cities within the United States.
> Switchboard. Search for people, businesses and other things on the net.
> WorldPages. A search page to locate businesses, people, and goverment offices.
> THOMAS: Legislative Information. Full text access to current bills under consideration in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
> Color Landform Atlas of the United States. A state by state collection of relief maps. Many more map reverences can be found at CGRER NetSurfing: Maps and References.
> U.S. Census Bureau FactFinder. Your source for population, hoousing, economic, and geographic data.
> U.S. Gazetteer. This gazetteer is used to identify places to view with the Tiger Map Server and the 1990 Census Lookup
